ARTICLE 1 – COMMISSIONING

Your AXION Equestrian airbag is delivered ready for use.

Before first use, it is essential to screw in a CO₂ cartridge suitable for the size of the vest.

The customer must ensure that the cartridge is correctly installed, not punctured, and perfectly screwed in before any use.

ARTICLE 2 – CHECKS BEFORE USE

Before each use, it is the customer's responsibility to:

  • check that the cartridge is correctly screwed in and in good condition

  • inspect the general condition of the vest (fabric, seams, trigger system)

  • correctly install the tether strap at the level of the two stirrup leathers

  • adjust the length of the tether strap

  • verify the attachment of the connection cord

  • wear the airbag closed and correctly adjusted

ARTICLE 3 – CONDITIONS OF USE

The airbag must be connected to the saddle before mounting a horse.

Use must comply with the following rules:

  • use only the supplied tether strap

  • never attach the cord to any point other than the one intended

  • never use the airbag without a cartridge installed

  • wear the airbag alone or under a compatible jacket

  • maintain sufficient freedom of movement

Any non-compliant use is the sole responsibility of the customer.

ARTICLE 4 – AIRBAG SYSTEM OPERATION

The AXION Equestrian airbag operates using a mechanical trigger system connected to the saddle by a tether cord.

In the event of a fall, the tension exerted on the cord triggers the system, allowing the airbag to inflate in a few milliseconds.

Inflation helps absorb shocks and stabilize certain areas of the body.

The system is designed to limit accidental deployments, but accidental deployment remains possible, especially if disconnection is forgotten.

ARTICLE 5 – AFTER DEPLOYMENT

After deployment:

  • the cartridge must be replaced with a new, suitable cartridge

  • the general condition of the vest must be checked

  • any deployed cartridge must be replaced immediately

It is strictly forbidden to reuse a cartridge that has already been deployed.

ARTICLE 6 – GAS CARTRIDGES

Compatible cartridges are:

  • 50 cc for sizes 3XS to XS

  • 60 cc for sizes S to XL

Only cartridges meeting these specifications must be used.

It is forbidden to:

  • refill a cartridge

  • use a used cartridge

  • use a non-compliant cartridge

Cartridges must be stored in a dry place, away from heat and shocks.

ARTICLE 7 – MAINTENANCE

To preserve product performance:

  • do not machine wash

  • do not tumble dry

  • do not immerse

  • clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth

  • do not use aggressive detergents

  • do not iron

  • do not dry clean

Light brushing may be performed if necessary.

ARTICLE 8 – DRYING

  • air dry

  • prefer drying on a hanger

  • do not use a heat source

Protection is only effective at the time of inflation and only on the covered areas.

ARTICLE 12 – DEPLOYMENT LIMITS

The airbag system does not deploy in certain situations, including:

  • if the rider remains in the saddle during the fall

  • in the absence of sufficient tension on the cord

Wearing external elements can alter the proper functioning of the airbag.

These particularly include:
