02Data processed
Depending on your interaction with the website, AXION may process: identity and contact details; billing and delivery addresses; orders, returns, exchanges, warranties and payments; customer account data; messages, attachments and reviews; marketing preferences; technical data such as IP address, browser, device, security logs and interactions with the website.
AXION does not receive your full bank-card details. Information required for payment is processed by payment providers.
03Sources of data
Data mainly comes from you when you place an order, create an account, contact AXION, request a return, publish a review or subscribe to communications. Certain technical data is collected automatically through the website, cookies and authorised tools. Data may also be received from payment providers, carriers, sales platforms or partners where necessary for an order or otherwise authorised.
04Purposes and legal bases
- Performance of a contract: basket, order, payment, delivery, account, return, exchange, warranty and customer service;
- Legal obligations: invoicing, accounting, taxation, warranties, product safety and responses to authorities;
- Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, defence of rights, service improvement and strictly necessary audience measurement where permitted by law;
- Consent: electronic marketing where required, non-essential cookies, personalised advertising and other processing presented as optional.
You may withdraw consent at any time for the future, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
05Recipients and service providers
Within the scope of their duties, data may be accessible to AXION and its providers: Shopify for the store and accounts; payment providers; carriers and logistics; customer service and chat; returns management; customer reviews; hosting, maintenance and security; email services; audience analytics and advertising where you have consented; accounting or legal advisers and insurers; legally authorised authorities.
These recipients access only the data they need. Certain services, such as Shop or Shop Pay, may also process data under their own responsibility in accordance with their policies.
06International transfers
Certain providers, including Shopify and its subprocessors, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where the destination country does not benefit from an adequacy decision, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, supplemented where necessary by security measures.
07Retention periods
- Orders and customer relationship: during the active relationship, then archived for periods necessary for evidence and warranties;
- Invoices and accounting records: 10 years where required by law;
- Marketing: until consent is withdrawn or an objection is made and, in principle, 3 years after the end of the commercial relationship or the last relevant contact;
- Requests and customer service: for the time needed to process the request, then for the period useful for follow-up and the defence of rights;
- Cookies and trackers: according to the period indicated in the consent manager and within applicable limits.
Data is then deleted or anonymised unless a legal obligation or dispute justifies limited archiving.
08Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability where its conditions are met, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent and object to direct marketing at any time.
Write to contact@axionequestrian.com specifying your request. Proof of identity will only be requested where there is reasonable doubt. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the CNIL.
10Minors
Products may be intended for underage riders, but orders must be placed or authorised by their legal representative. AXION does not seek to knowingly collect children’s data without a valid legal basis. The legal representative may request the exercise of the corresponding rights.
11Security and updates
AXION and its providers implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. As no system is risk-free, measures are reassessed as threats evolve.
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the website, providers or regulations. The version date appears at the top of the page.
